"Corporate flowers and corporate gift baskets are an important part of my
growing business, but I love working with flowers for all occasions," said
Jan Hughes, owner of Blooms Beserk. "In England I trained as a nurse and
as a florist. As a nurse I saw what it meant to patients to be given
flowers, so when I came to New Zealand I decided to open a floristry
business."

Corporate flowers offer a particular challenge which Jan especially enjoys.
Having to supply new flowers every week to corporate businesses means that
she varies the style and colour of the arrangements she supplies.
Flowers for special occasions
Jan also enjoys designing floral arrangements for weddings, dinners and
funerals using her customers' preferences for colours and styles.

In addition to the fresh flowers Blooms Beserk has a wide range of high
quality silk flowers. I had to be told which display featured the silk
flowers and which featured the fresh ones. You can order an arrangement of
silk flowers only or a combination of silk and fresh flowers.

Gift baskets for corporate or individual customers
Jan has widened the scope of Blooms Beserk to include gift baskets for
corporate or individual customers. Her special skills in designing
arrangements are used to highlight baskets containing cosmetics, or food,
champagne or flowers or teddy bears - or a combination. The content of the
baskets is chosen to fit the customer's budget, likes and dislikes. It can
all be done through the website.
Christmas gifts
At Christmas Jan specialises in Christmas baskets, picnic baskets and
Christmas hampers. Basic items like crackers, cheese, chutney, jam,
chocolates, mints and festive paper napkins are available and a range of
delicacies can be added as you choose. Alcohol can be purchased as an
addition to the basket. You may like to purchase a Bolly Basket - an ice
bucket with a bottle of Bollinger French champagne.
